XX049 is a thumbnail specimen of native silver wires. With chaotic growth, it is rarer than native Gold. From a classic locality.

Native Silver is a rare and unique mineral specimen. While Gold is many times more costly than Silver, finding native Silver is not as easy as finding native Gold. Its most common habit is as wires, reticulated masses of twinned crystals, dendritic or grainy growths. Silver can also be found mixed with Copper, Arsenic, Mercury, Gold, or Antimony in nature, giving rise to a wide range of mineral formations that are prized by collectors for their beauty and rarity.

Silver is one of the precious metals and its history dates back to ancient civilizations, where it was used in many of the ways that it still is today. The freshly extracted silver shows a strong metallic luster (it has the strongest reflecting power of all the minerals) and a silvery white color, which quickly tarnishes by forming a surface thin layer of Acanthite.

Silver is known to enhance intuition and promote calmness and balance in the mind and body. It is also believed to have protective properties against negative energies and promote emotional stability.
