Gemmy Supernova Fluorite with Quartz from England FL635

Discovered in 2022, the Supernova Pocket is a westerly extension of the Milky Way Pocket located within the Diana Maria mine in Weardale, County Durham, England. The pocket is named after its close astronomical association and are characterized by dazzling, starburst effects of lustrous Quartz crystals among typically dark Fluorite crystals.
The Fluorite specimens from the Supernova Pocket are dominated by a mid-sea to dark forest green color, in contrast to the Milky Way Pocket's purple and white Fluorites. Despite the difference in color, both pockets display daylight fluorescence of equal purple intensity. Additionally, crystallized Quartz is ubiquitous in the Supernova Fluorite, appearing as microcrystalline druses or terminated single glassy crystals.
The Supernova Pocket's name is aptly given, as it is reminiscent of the explosive star event it's named after. The dazzling, twinkling Quartz crystals within the dark Fluorite give off a starburst effect that adds to its unique beauty.
